Welcome to The Beacon, our beautiful family home. The house has a long history of hosting glamorous parties and providing care and shelter for those in need. From the tea rooms and pleasure gardens created by Sir Walter Harris, to the important role it played in housing both Basque and Jewish refugees in wartime. We are proud of these values and traditions and aim to keep the Beacon fire burning bright for generations to come and continue these by offering you a spectacular space for weddings and events, providing a picture postcard of whimsical, rustic romance and undeniably stunning views.
We serve one menu across our two dining rooms, alongside we have our private dining rooms available to book, and we also have 7 uniquely designed rooms to choose from if you wish to stay the night with us.

THE HEARTH RESTAURANT
Our Restaurant at The Beacon is traditional and elegant, boasting of Arts & Crafts interior. Featuring a stunning stained-glass window and a cosy fireplace, it is comfortable yet sophisticated, serving locally sourced and produced ingredients delicately plated for the perfect meal.
With carefully created dishes made by our Head Chef Scott Goss and the team, here at The Beacon we use only the finest, locally sourced ingredients. to bring you top quality, unforgettable dishes. The Hearth Restaurant is an idyllic spot for a catch up with friends if you are looking to indulge in a dining experience in style. Our set menus showcase only the most beautiful, seasonal ingredients, creating the perfect meal for yourself and friends or family, providing you with an undeniably memorable experience and mouth-watering moments.

THE GARDEN BAR
Our Garden Bar is a beautiful, chic & stylish destination with cosy corners and snugs, creating a perfect spot for you from breakfast to after dinner cocktails. The Bar is open to walk-ins, so if you don't have a booking feel free to stroll on down Tea Garden Lane where we will welcome you in.
There truly is no place quite like it in Tunbridge Wells. With these expansive sweeping views, and the sun pouring through the windows, you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’re on holiday. Grab your friends and come for that overdue catch-up in one of the most picturesque places you’ll find.

Alongside SGS Designs, The Beacon has designed and beautifully renovated 6 luxuriously elegant and unique bedrooms, with a 7th room- The Summer House, perching just below the house on the edge of Happy Valley, providing the most undeniably stunning views across the Kent Countryside.

“Where to start? My husband and I got married at The Beacon in August, and it goes without saying that the venue and setting are absolutely spectacular. The food on the day was outstanding, which is no mean feat for over 100 guests.
Maia did a fantastic job in the lead-up, making sure everything was perfectly organised. She was our coordinator on the day, and an absolute angel. We honestly can’t thank her enough. She was calm, professional, and completely unflappable, ensuring the entire day ran seamlessly. The whole team took any stress out of the day, they are true experts at what they do.
I genuinely don’t know how the day could have been any better, it was truly perfect from start to finish.

Our gift cards come in incremental values of £25, from £50 up to £500. Alternatively, give the gift of relaxation with our luxury dine and stay experiences. Our reception team will process your gift card and send a unique reference number to your chosen email address. Or choose to post it through Royal Mail and receive one of our I'll Be Mother Gift Cards.
They are redeemable at any I’ll Be Mother venue; The Beacon, The Swan, or Kingdom, so whether they love fine dining, hearty roasts or healthy brunch, we have something on offer for everyone.
All gift cards have a 12 month validity period from the date of purchase and are redeemable on accommodation and/or food/drink.
