The Beacon Bar & Restaurant
What's on

Imagine a bar and restaurant with a relaxed informality and the highest standards of cuisine.

Add the backdrop of one of the best views in Southeast England and a genuinely friendly and helpful staff, then you have the formula for the fine reputation enjoyed by The Beacon in Rusthall near Tunbridge Wells.

The house dates from 1895 and was built as the country home of Sir Walter Harris, a former Lieutenant of the City of London. It has a wealth of architectural features including some particularly fine stained glass windows and an oak-panelled bar.

Last year, we were finalists in the Publican Pub Food awards, and were awarded Certificate of Excellence in the category of Alfresco Dining Pub of the Year.

New Developments at The Beacon

We have now completed a substantial refurbishment to our Restaurant/Bar area. We are very excited about this project and hope all of our customers like the end result!

To compliment the new decor, we have redesigned our menus also and hope these changes prove to be popular.

We do also offer accommodation, in the form of two double bedrooms and one single bedroom, individually designed, all en-suite, with English or continental style breakfast.
