In collaboration with SGS Designs, The Beacon has transformed its historic family home into six uniquely elegant bedrooms, each blending Arts & Crafts character with contemporary comfort. Just below the house, our seventh retreat — The Summer House — perches on the edge of Happy Valley, offering breathtaking views across the Kent countryside.
Surrounded by Victorian spring fed lakes and landscaped gardens, every room is inspired by the natural beauty of the setting. Thoughtfully designed with vintage charm, modern touches, and a deep sense of place, each space offers a truly memorable stay in one of Kent’s most picturesque locations.

SUMMER HOUSE
Situated under the Garden Bar, away from the main house, the Summer house Cabin is full of rustic reclaimed texture & cosy furnishings, beautifully designed by SGS Design for the perfect stay.
Comprising of a Super King size bed, spacious walk-in Rainfall Shower & an Opulent Bathtub on the terrace, its sits perfectly on the edge of Happy Valley providing spectacular views. Other amenities consist of a Minibar, Terrace, TV, Hairdryer, Tea/Coffee making Facilities, Radio & WIFI.
Holly Hut
A Shepherd’s Hut has arrived at The Beacon, handcrafted by local makers Hurkle Huts. Clad in black charred larch with a glowing, timber-lined interior, it’s a cosy, design-led retreat surrounded by nature. You enter the hut via beautiful Iroko steps with a landing.
Comprising of a King size bed, walk-in Shower, sitting perfectly on the edge of Happy Valley providing spectacular views. Other amenities consist of a Minibar, Hairdryer, Tea/Coffee making Facilities, Radio & WIFI.
